The Alzheimer’s Association created QUASH, a completely new take on a fundraising event, to help raise money to support the organization’s mission of eliminating Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.  The Alzheimer’s Association East Central Iowa Chapter works closely with the student organization “UNI Advocates for Alzheimer’s” and students in UNI’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance to plan and promote this campus-wide event.

Campus QUASH at UNI will take place on Friday, April 26th beginning in the West Gym.  Check-in begins at 5:00pm and the scavenger hunt will officially kickoff at 6:00pm.  In addition to the free t-shirt participants will receive with registration, QUASHers will be given a free meal following the scavenger hunt AND be invited to an official QUASH After-Party at Beck's with discounted drinks and half-priced appetizers immediately following that.

Registration is open at www.QUASHatUNI.com for only $10.00 per person! All QUASHers compete in teams of two to four members and are asked to raise at least $100 per person to benefit the care, support, research and advocacy efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Reaching this goal will allow you to be entered into a raffle for all kinds of great prizes that will be drawn for at the event!
