 Hospice Volunteer Opportunity

Allen Hospice

Volunteers are vital to the hospice mission. All hospice volunteers are required by Medicare guidelines to complete at least fourteen hours of training and complete an application process which includes background checks and TB testing. Volunteer orientations are held 3-4 times each year.

The first steps include the completion of an application and an interview with Linda Alexandres.  Contact Linda at: AlexanLL@ihs.org with questions and interest. Hospice volunteers offer a wide variety of services including companionship for patients, respite for family, and office duties. This is dependent on the needs of the patients and the skills or interest of the volunteer. Linda is planning a daytime training this winter, most likely on Wednesday mornings. If that does not work for you there will be another training this Spring.
